Anti Drug Cell EU Campus

TThe Anti - Drug Cell of the Ethics University, has been established for curbing drug trafficking and use of illegal substances inside the campus & Hostel. An effective vigilant committee has been constituted in order to execute the functions of the cell and also to impart an awareness campaign against use of drugs in the campus.

Mission

The Anti-Drug Cell fosters a positive, drug-free campus environment by educating students about the negative consequences of drugs. Additionally, it gives aspiring teachers the know-how and abilities needed to successfully address drug usage in their future workplaces.

Objective

  • Prevention of Drug Abuse: The committee works to raise awareness about the dangers of drug abuse and its harmful impact on individuals and society, aiming to prevent the initiation of drug use.
  • Support for Rehabilitation and Recovery: Provide support to individuals struggling with drug addiction by promoting rehabilitation programs, offering treatment resources, and helping those in recovery reintegrate into society.
  • Education and Awareness Campaigns: Organize programs, workshops, and campaigns that educate the public, particularly youth, about the risks of drug use, the signs of addiction, and the available support systems for recovery.
  • Collaboration with Law Enforcement: Work closely with law enforcement agencies to reduce drug trafficking and the illegal distribution of substances, ensuring that policies and measures are effective in curbing drug-related crimes.

Functions:

  • Awareness Campaigns: Organize seminars, workshops, and lectures with experts to educate students and staff about drug abuse and its consequences.
  • Counselling Services: Provide support and counselling to students struggling with drug-related issues.
  • Collaboration: Work with local authorities, NGOs, and health organizations to strengthen anti-drug initiatives.
  • Training Programs: Conduct training for faculty and students to identify signs of drug abuse and intervene effectively.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Establish a confidential system for reporting drug-related incidents and ensure timely action.

Activities:

  • Workshops and Seminars: Regular sessions on drug abuse prevention.
  • Awareness Drives: Posters, leaflets, and digital campaigns highlighting the risks of narcotics.
  • Student Involvement: Encourage student participation in creating and delivering anti-drug messages.
  • Community Outreach: Extend awareness programs to the local community and schools.
